Angie began participating in dog sports in 1999 with her Golden Retriever, Haley. Due to Haley’s natural abilities, Angie was immediately hooked. She quickly added two more agility Golden Retrievers to her family, Sirius, and Firefly. A guest handler introduced Sirius and Firefly to their first dock diving competition in 2011.
During the height of Firefly’s incredible agility career (she stood on many podiums), Angie added a blue-eyed Border Collie named Falkor. Falkor was able to accomplish a first place at the 2019 UKI Midwest Cup. He loves the dock and taught Angie how to properly throw a toy for a dog to track. Falkor always has a smile on his face when near a pool. Unfortunately, injuries continue to plague his career.
Angie’s youngest Border Collie, Bravestone, joined her family in 2020. His addition was unexpected and changed Angie’s life. Bravestone is a natural in his Agility and Dock Diving training. In 2022, Brave had a Personal Best in distance of 28’6” and 23’ in Air Retrieve. He placed second at the NADD Regionals in Hydro Dash with a 13.001. He swam a 12.197 at the NADD National and took 2nd place to the World Record Holder in Hydro. He also placed 5th in Elite Distance. Bravestone’s love and persistence for life does not go unnoticed.
Due to her passion for dog sports, Angie loves to help fellow enthusiasts find the same joy in training their dogs.
